Today's guest, G30 member Raghuram Rajan, is a Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the Booth School. He served as the 23rd Governor of the Reserve Bank of India between 2013 and 2016. From 2003 to 2006, Dr. Rajan held the positions of Chief Economist and Director of Research at the IMF. In January 2003, the American Finance Association awarded him the inaugural Fischer Black Prize for the best finance researcher under the age of 40. Last year, he co-chaired The Group of Thirty’s report on Central Banking and Monetary Policy. Most recently, Professor Rajan has been focusing on the economic future of India, co-authoring his latest book Breaking the Mold: India’s Untraveled Path to Prosperity with Dr. Rohit Lamba.
